Thanks.

I'm all for stretching myself and reaching into new territories, but that new territory still has to something that allows me to look at myself in the mirror and know that I did the right thing morally and ethically.

I've been in this situation recently. I retained a client who is a web developer and one of the first projects I got was to re-write the copy for a channeler/psychic healer. Now, I think this stuff is a bunch of hooey, but it was a good paying job and I took it as a challenge. As a freelancer, I can't always write about subjects that get me jazzed up, but I do have my standards. I'd never do any X-rated or adult material for a paycheck, but for a Klondike bar...that's another story.

I remember those commercials. They always made me laugh.

What would I do for a Klondike bar? I would step outside my normal comfort zone if I could see that it would enhance my abilities. That's what I'm doing with my new job. However, I definitely would not go against my personal beliefs. I've been in similar situations as yourself and I've always turned those offers down.

Good for you, sticking by your convictions. There are some people that will sell out if the price is right.
